Documents Required for an Account

To use your account, you will need to submit the required documents below.

Personal Account

Identity verification documents

We will ask you to submit a photo identification of the person who register the account (individual) and a selfie (facial recognition).

Identity verification with photo

Please submit one of the following: driver’s license, My Number card (Subject to Japan residents only) or passport.

Driver’s license

Please submit the front and back of your driver’s license.

Passport

Please submit the page with your photo and signature.

My Number Card

Please submit the front and back of the card.
* Please hide the personal number and barcode.

Requirements

  1. Identification documents must be issued by a government agency and must show the same name and date of birth as the registered information on AuraPay.
  2.  An expired ID card cannot be used as an identity verification document.
  3. Please note that the temporary notification card that notifies you of your personal “my number card” cannot be used as an identity verification document.
  4. A valid passport is required for non-Japanese and Japanese nationals residing outside Japan.

face recognition

In order to confirm that you have submitted your information in person, we have introduced a face recognition procedure.

* Please be sure to follow the steps displayed on the screen. This allows us to verify your identity online.

Preparation before starting
  • Please have your photo identification documents ready.
  • Please remove any items that cover your face, such as masks, hats, sunglasses, and headphones.
  • Please take pictures in a well-lit surrounding.
  • Please prepare a device with a camera and set the access permission for the camera.

* If you are using a non-camera-equipped device, you can switch to a mobile device from the screen for selecting the document submission method.

Requirements

  1. If you are using iOS, please use Safari browser. If you are using Android or PC, please use Chrome browser.
  2. When switching from a PC to a mobile device, please keep the original screen of the PC open until the procedure is completed.

Proof of Current Address

You will be required to submit one of the following documents (within 3 months of the date of issue) showing the current address of the account holder (individual).

  • Utility bills and receipts
  • Bank/credit card company statements and invoices
  • Copy of residence certificate (For residents in Japan)
  • Certificate of seal registration (For residents in Japan)
  • Certificate of tax payment (For residents in Japan)

*If your personal number (My Number) is written on the documents, please hide it so it cannot be seen.

Requirements

  2. The issuer/letterhead must be printed on the document.
  3. The date of issue must be printed within 3 months of the time of document approval (please submit well in advance of the deadline).
  4. Please prepare a document that shows all the above items on the same sheet of paper (incomplete documents will not be accepted).
  5. ID materials (driver’s license, My Number card) are not accepted as current address confirmation materials.

Please submit all of the following documents of the wallet owner(corporation), which must indicate their address and name.
Documents must be issued within six month.

  • Business Profile
    Please submit all pages of the documents.
    You may also submit all pages of articles of incorporation approved by public authorities.

*Kindly note that users from different countries may be required to upload other necessary documents for further verification. Please contact the support team for more information.

Seal registration certificate

Please submit the following documents of the wallet owner(corporation).
